These Terms of Service govern access to and use of Docz, a physician-only professional collaboration platform for clinical curbside discussions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing Docz, or using any Docz service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Docz.

2. Eligibility

Docz is intended for licensed physicians and other approved medical professionals. You may use Docz only if you are legally permitted to practice in your jurisdiction, are authorized to participate in professional clinical discussions, and provide accurate account and credential information. Docz may approve, deny, suspend, or remove accounts at its discretion.

3. Professional Use Only

Docz is a professional collaboration tool. It is not intended for patients, caregivers, minors, emergency care, or public medical advice. You agree not to use Docz:

• For emergencies or urgent patient care
• As a substitute for independent clinical judgment
• To provide direct patient instructions through the platform
• To create or imply a provider-patient relationship with another user's patient
• In violation of any law, regulation, licensing rule, professional duty, or institutional policy

4. Medical Disclaimer

Content on Docz may include professional opinions, educational discussion, AI-generated summaries, and evidence-oriented context. Docz does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing guidance, or emergency triage. You remain solely responsible for patient care decisions, documentation, follow-up, informed consent, and compliance with professional standards.

5. DoczAI

DoczAI may generate summaries, contextual information, and source-oriented responses based on user-submitted content and available references. DoczAI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or inappropriate for a specific patient. You agree to independently verify all DoczAI output before relying on it in any professional context. DoczAI does not replace physician judgment and is not a medical device.

6. User Content

You are responsible for all content you submit to Docz, including curbsides, comments, replies, images, profile information, and feedback. You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not violate patient privacy, professional obligations, intellectual property rights, or applicable law. By submitting content, you grant Docz a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, process, moderate, analyze, and use the content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.

7. PHI and De-Identification

You must not submit protected health information, personally identifiable patient information, or other patient identifiers to Docz unless you have a valid legal basis and authorization to do so. Before submitting content, you are responsible for removing or obscuring patient identifiers, including names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, account numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, faces, barcodes, QR codes, and document headers that identify a patient. Docz may provide PHI detection, image review, and moderation workflows. These safeguards are not a guarantee that all PHI will be detected. You remain responsible for de-identifying content before posting.

8. Moderation

Docz may review, flag, hide, remove, or restrict content or accounts if content appears to contain PHI, violates these Terms, creates safety risk, appears misleading, or is otherwise inappropriate for the community. Docz may maintain audit records of moderation decisions and account actions.

9. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify Docz promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Submit patient-identifying information without appropriate authorization
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, specialty, affiliation, or licensing status
• Harass, threaten, defame, or abuse others
• Post false, misleading, unsafe, or intentionally harmful medical content
• Scrape, copy, or export community content without authorization
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, or compromise the service
• Use Docz to train competing products without written permission
• Violate applicable laws, professional standards, or institutional policies

11. Privacy

Use of Docz is also governed by the Docz Privacy Policy.

12. Availability and Changes

Docz may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Docz may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updates means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Termination and Account Deletion

Docz may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, create legal or safety risk, or are no longer eligible. You may delete your account through in-app account settings or by contacting support. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible: your profile is anonymized, your uploaded photos are purged from storage, and your login credentials are deleted. There is no separate, reversible "deactivation." Docz retains only a minimal, de-identified record that a deletion occurred and when, for security and audit purposes.

14. Disclaimers

Docz is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docz disclaims warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Docz will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for clinical decisions, patient outcomes, lost data, lost profits, or professional consequences arising from use of the service.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Docz and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from claims arising from your use of Docz, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your professional conduct.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Docz will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
